Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School is part of the Roosevelt School District in Phoenix, Arizona. The focus of the school’s technology integration strategy has been in individual classrooms, where teachers have banks of 3-9 computers. Teachers have integrated KnowledgeBox into their daily instruction. KnowledgeBox® primary grade content—which includes movies, print, Internet links, and lessons from the award-winning Between the Lions television series—is being used daily to teach phonics and reading skills. Under the direction of principal Kelly Solomon, teachers and staff are also using Between the Lions digital content to support a home-school connection to daily instruction.
