Independent Assessment and Endorsement Verifies Capabilities
to Combine Student, Parent, Teacher and Administrator Activities
into a Harmonized Online Process
MESA, ARIZ. — June 27, 2003 – District
Administration magazine's District’s Choice Top
100 Awards has ranked Concert Instruction & Assessment from
Pearson Education Technologies as the top Internet education
product for 2003. Concert Instruction & Assessment coordinates
the efforts of K-12 students, teachers, administrators and parents
through standards-aligned instruction, lesson planning, assessment
and educational content.
To select the District’s Choice Top 100 Products for 2003, District
Administration surveyed comments from a percentage of
the magazine’s 75,000 readers. In addition, a core group
of the magazine's staffers and editorial advisory board provided
input on the thousands of new products they see each year. Now
in its 16th year, the District's Choice Top 100 cite four product
categories—Internet, software, hardware, and books and
miscellaneous.
"In that the selection process involved a broad cross-section
of K-12 district leaders, the Top 100 Products award, and its number
one ranking, show that Concert unquestionably holds the potential
to maximize performance across the education enterprise," said
Kelly Goodrich, Pearson Education Technologies' vice president
of marketing. "This is a wonderful validation from educators
that our vision for Concert is right on target."
The Concert
online education community is a single, fully integrated,
modular suite of Web-based applications that brings together
